Denver Equestrians' Summer Camp Program
kicked off the season with our first summer session last week!
Our sessions are limited to six riders per week. Three riders from the Pony Club joined us, and we also three new campers. Everyone was able to make new friends and strengthen existing friendships at the barn~

On Monday, we learned about Safety, Grooming and Horse Care.
The girls toured the facility and met all the horses.
The campers loved their horse assignments!

Tuesday we studied tack, parts of the saddle and bridle, and horse anatomy. We also learned the basics of proper English riding, and the girls were eager to learn how to post the trot!

Wednesday, we learned about horse breeds, history, colors and size.
We spent time cleaning tack and learning about how to set grain (feed) and clean up after the horses in the stalls and in the paddocks.

Thursday we all enjoyed a day on the trail.

Following the ride, campers learned how to bathe and clip their horses, in preparation for the fun show!

Friday the girls were able to demonstrate what they had learned for their parents and friends at the fun show. Everyone had such a wonderful time!

THANK YOU, GIRLS~ FOR A WONDERFUL WEEK AT CAMP!
