Progressive Group Riding Classes
Our Group Riding Classes provide a comprehensive foundation to your equine education. Perfect for new riders ages 13yrs and up, and adults who want a gentle way to get back in the saddle after time off.
This 12-week interactive curriculum is divided into three sets of 4 sessions, and meets the standards provided by the Certified Horsemanship Association Level 1 Manual. Each set (Intro Classes, Foundation Classes and Horsemanship Classes) focuses on specific goals and objectives. Riders develop horsemanship skills through mounted and un-mounted semi-private instruction. Repetitions of 4-week sessions aid in mastering and achieving desired goals, or tutoring sessions may be used to focus on specific skills needed to accelerate progress.
Intro Classes 1 through 4 provide one hour instruction to understanding ground and saddle communication with your horse. Each rider will receive 15 minutes of semi-private arena instruction.
To test out of the Progressive Series, riders must complete the CHA Level 1 written, ground and riding tests. These tests ensure that riders are able to tack their horse independently, as well as walk and trot figures in the saddle. The CHA Level 1 Manual is $24.00. (Multiple riders in a family may desire to share their manual.)
Graduates of this series are ready and approved to enter any of the following programs: Group Riding Lessons and Working Student Program.
