Check us out on GROUPON!
The New Rider Assessment is a private or semi-private session for horse lovers of all ages and levels. In this lesson, Beginners learn the basics and get started on their journey with horses in our program. Intermediate to Advanced riders are evaluated and have the opportunity to show us what they know. Our Professional Trainers use this information to match riders with appropriate lesson horses, and for accurate placement within Group Lessons, Programs for Adults, Youth Riding Clubs or Horse Show Teams.
During your session, you will learn how to check in for lessons, find your horse assignment, and receive an orientation of our organized grooming and tack system. The riding portion of your lesson will be tailored to your experience level and background. Have fun in the saddle, ask questions, and enjoy the journey!
Riders should wear breeches or jeans, and a polo, button-down or t-shirt. We do have a heated indoor arena, however riders should still dress for the weather with a jacket or coat if needed. All riders are required to have their own SEI/ATSM Approved Helmets. Boots with a flat sole and a heel are also required. Tall boots or paddock boots with half chaps and Western boots are all acceptable. Per our insurance company, tennis shoes, hiking boots or winter boots are not permitted. Denver Equestrians offers the use of helmets for a rental fee of $10.00 per ride, and/or the use of paddock boots for a rental fee of $10.00 per ride.
